The purpose of the company was the sale and distribution of machine tools.
From the beginnings HURACAN MAQUINARIAS S.L. adopted the policy of constant investment and a personalized attention to the customers, resulting in a continuous expansion of the company in the local market.
On the conviction that the secret of business success are honesty and perseverance, carrying out these behaviors had led the company to gain the friendship and trust of customers.
Early in the nineties HURACAN MAQUINARIAS S.L. has become one of the leader argentine importers of machine tools from Asia.
The objective was to cover the market needs, offering reliable products at the best prices.
Through the years, the company continuously increased the line of products, adding new machines and representing different CNC machine tools manufacturers.
During the year 1995, HURACAN MAQUINARIAS S.L. decided to install a new company in Curitiba in the state of Parana in Brazil, to supply machine tools in the Brazilian market, becoming one of the biggest machine tool distributors in Latin America.
On the conviction that the machine tool business does not end with a successful sale, and honoring the policy of the company, HURACAN MAQUINARIAS S.L. had increased their staff, incorporating the skilled technicians needed to provide an adequate after sales assistance.

In the year 2000, the company decided a completely new approach concerning the line of CNC machine tool that were currently distributed. HURACAN MAQUINARIAS S.L. begun the development of a new CNC milling machine that was to be produced by the company. A short time later, the products developed and produced under the own brand name “TRAVIS” included machining centers and CNC lathes in different models an sizes.
This important change was supported by the incorporation of new personnel to cover the assembly areas, as well in Argentina as in Brazil, guaranteeing an optimum performance of the produced machines.
In the year 2002, HURACAN MAQUINARIAS S.L. begun their activities in Barcelona, Spain with the purpose of selling machine tools not only in Spain, but in the whole European market, including sales in South Africa.
At present, the area of the facilities in Argentina, Brazil and Spain reach the 21.000 square meters, handling a vast distribution and service network that covers the territory of two continents.
From the beginnings to present days HURACAN MAQUINARIAS S.L. has applied the creativity and knowledge of their staff to develop products that help the customers to improve their productivity which will lead to a mutual grow in the future. |
